Bobs says he is going to get teleprompters for the drummers so they know what the song they are playing. HA

I remember on the Long Strange Trip doc being shocked when Billy said he while playing he didn't pay attention to the beat and was at his best when he didn't know what song it was. So maybe Bobs has something there.

enjoyable talk,
Like we thought, it was eenie meenie on show openers for Bobs and Jerry. While doing the Jerry song Bobs is thinking of his next song, eh usual stuff
I guess it was Phil with the veto but it is a guess

Bobs calls tapers "virtual marketing". eh what This post was modified by Vermoontains on 2020-03-18 17:24:42

An opera! Geez this is just too rich. Who could make this shit up?
He never delivered on his planned musical about the Chitlin' Circuit, so in classic Boob fashion he's moved on to opera. Just another fever dream, like the 'jazz ballad' he wrote with Jerry.
He'd do well to watch the Burns' County Music episode about not getting above your raisin.' Those guys get it.

The "life form" came to him as an opera this time.
I admire his drive and spirit and even some of his ego.I guess the things that always bugged me about him still do but its ok.
I figure friends have faults but they don't get in the way.

Sure. I just wish he'd keep it more real. Not so much a searchlight casting for faults, just noting he lacks that humble, modest quality that endeared me and I think a couple others to Jerry. My heroes have always been authentic.

In fact, if he had pulled off more of a departure from the scene and actually staged a musical or opera (perhaps saving us from the continual evolving iterations of his cover band) I'd be all in. Can you imagine the musicians he'd be capable of rounding up for that musical?

then there was this

"In short, you might have a perfectly good time at “Red Roses, Green Gold,” even if it’s less a diamond in the rough and more fool’s gold."
